Sudan: Girl, 15, Raped and Stabbed By Militants

Kabkabiya — Five pro-government militants brutally raped a teenage girl south of Kabkabiya on Saturday.

Witnesses said the girl went to fetch water from a well in the area when five armed men appeared.

They threatened her and then raped her. They also reportedly stabbed her in the back, chest and stomach and left her to be found exposed by people passing by.

Witnesses said she was taken to hospital in Kabkabiya where her condition is said to be deteriorating.
