THE barefaced anti-corruption stance of the Federal Government was again exposed recently as an Abuja High Court recently struck out the celebrated $180 million Halliburton bribery suit instituted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), owing to what the trial judge called 'want of diligent prosecution'.
Justice Abubakar Umar struck out the case in protest against the anti-graft agency's failure to arraign the suspects indicted in the bribe-for-contract scam despite filing a nine-count charge against them.
