South Africa: Taaibos Street Celebrate Human Rights in Natural Environment

Seppi, a community based environmental organisation hosted a special Human Rights day in Taaibos street.

The day was celebrated with plenty of music and singing, though the focus of environmental rights was never far off the theme.

Organiser Georgina was over the moon with response of the people in the street and the immediate vicinity, " this is absolute fantastic, shows one what you achieve if everyone works together, activities and events like this helps people to have pride in their area and to a lesser extent help bring crime down," she said.

According to her, Seppi is planning similar events for important Public holidays, i.e. Youth Day and Heritage Day.
