Zimbabwe: Maroto Finally Breaks Goal Drought Jinx

Forgotten striker and FC Platinum player, Norman Maroto, scored a priceless goal to give Motor Action vital three points in a Castle Lager premiership match at Gwanzura on Easter Friday. Maroto, who was released by FC Platinum at the end of last season, was on the verge of rejoining DeMbare, the club that gave him fame but was snatched by the Mighty Bulls.

Across town, Monomotapa who drubbed newcomers, Buffaloes, 3-1 in Mutare last week, were held to a one-all draw by newcomers, Harare City, who seem to be having no respect for clubs that have been in the league for a long time.

In Bulawayo, Shabanie Mine Football Club got the better of premiership newcomers Quelaton with 3-0 win in Bulawayo on Friday.
