Zimbabwe: Wisdom for Greatness

A servant of God Lester Sumrall defined word of wisdom as the revealing of the prophetic future under the anointing of God. It is a supernatural revelation of divine purposes of God. It is a divine communication, a message to the Body of Christ from God given by the Holy Spirit. In other words, it is information that comes from outside the bounds of that person's natural processes; information that his or her mind did not conceive, ears did not hear, and eyes did not see.

Old Testament prophets were endowed with the gift of word of wisdom and were able to foretell the future. Usually, when God gave a word, it was a fragment of truth. However, wisdom can be generally defined as an accumulated knowledge or erudition or enlightenment. Wisdom is among other nine gifts of the Spirit is a very important gift to possess. If a man or woman lacks the gift of wisdom, he or she would find it difficult to navigate the cares of life. Wisdom is a key gift and a powerful gift that can sustain all other known gifts on its shoulders. Wisdom is necessary for humans to live on have a bright life.

A man of great wisdom Prophet Makandiwa in his sermon wisdom for greatness said a man with a small measure of wisdom is the one who knows the importance of wisdom. It takes a small measure of wisdom to ask God of wisdom. It's very dangerous to spend a day without utilising the gift of wisdom. The whole book of Proverbs is full of wisdom marketing and how one go about getting wisdom.

Solomon in the Old Testament is known as a great man and King whom great wisdom of God was made to manifest and exhibited. Wisdom is much more important than money, more than riches.

A man with money but without wisdom will find life a huge challenge and will eventually get destroyed by his money.

Beauty without wisdom might be a trap and a passport to one's grave. Solomon surprised even God by asking for wisdom to rule the people of Israel among all other gifts. From our contemporary world perspective, one would have asked for wealthy or material things. A man with wisdom is a respectable man in the society. Hence, the saying no wisdom no honour.

The kingdom of God is two faced, that is, it is made up of the person of Jesus and His principles. A man's decisions create his circumstances (Isaiah 1vs19). One can get knowledge from schools, but wisdom only comes as a measure of grace from God. Not all learned people are wise. One must take responsibility for what he wants in life.

God did not predetermine any choices but he predetermined the consequences of individual's choices (Matthew 23). A man's heart decides the destination whilst his mind determines the map. Wisdom thinks ahead. The measure of wisdom is how many years a person thinks in advance. If a person does not focus on Canaan, he or she will adapt to Egypt and remain stagnant in life. Therefore, it is critical for a person to focus on the future and work towards it for one's benefit and one's future posterity. As a result one must develop decisiveness .The only way a person can measure the loyalty of my friends is by sharing his or her goals with them and observe how they react to those goals. This is wisdom in operation.

What one sees is what determines what one is willing to change. Wisdom determines a person's desires. With wisdom in operation an individual has a video film of the future in his possession for inspiration and consultation. My life experiences have informed me that I respect what I trust and what I love. Protocol creates promotion quicker. Wisdom is not generic. I have also observed with amazement that what one respects comes to him or her and this is what he or she attracts.

The unseen is more powerful than the seen because what we see was created by what we cannot see and that is wisdom in operation. I have also learnt in life that what one does not have in life is that which one does not value at all. God lamented that the people of God suffer and perish because they lack knowledge and they are unwise (Hosea 4:6).

I have observed on many occasions that the greatest hindrance to acquiring wisdom and maintaining that wisdom is pride. Proverbially, pride goes before a fall. Prophet Makandiwa always calls for contemporary Christians to acquire wisdom from the Bible on daily basis. The knowledge of God is the beginning of all wisdom. Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa teaches that wisdom is the key to a successful future and is a key that unlocks great destinies.

The secret of one's future is hidden his daily habits. If I could ask you a question: Which bad habits should you leave? To jump-start the process for you let me just mention a few habits: Always late; giving empty promises; financial indiscipline; visiting unnecessary places, ignoring deadlines; compromising; study indiscipline etc.

Lack of wisdom leads to poor health, divorce, poverty, wars and conflicts and can always lead into destruction. Wisdom determines who to befriend, who to hang around with, where to stay, how to live and wisdom is like a map that points a man to his God given destiny. Once you get wisdom, your life is right on track. A person of wisdom is a humble person. A person of great wisdom is a person who consults the Bible as a manual for life issues. Great men and women of this world cherish wisdom. In United Family International Church we are blessed to have our Father in the Lord Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa who demonstrates practical wisdom for us to follow. Zimbabweans have not had enough of life without wisdom and come let us take this opportunity and embrace wisdom as exhibited by God servant Prophet Makandiwa.

I have also observed that rewards one gets in life are determined by the kind of problems one is willing to solve for others. D. Mike Murdock, another servant of God supports Prophet Makandiwa about utilising wisdom when he says every individual has a unique assignment on earth to solve.

Let me ask a question right now. Do every one of us know their assignment on this earth?

You are the very person who possesses the answers to somebody's unanswered questions. Would you now work frantically wisdom to change somebody's destiny. Whose tears affect you the most?

Your assignment is geographical. Someone's future will not begin until you walk into it. Your assignment must become your obsession. Success is found in single-mindedness: total focus brings result, that's wisdom. Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa among other great ministers of faith, is a solution to many contemporary Christians.

An uncommon seed creates an uncommon harvest.

Everything you want in life has a seed.

Respect the one who walks in wisdom in order to attract it. The devil does not hate your gifts but my blessings. His anger is over the multiplication of the blessing not the giving. Sow wisdom and reap wisdom, your ignorance is a deadly disease. James 1:5 calls for all people from all walks of life who want wisdom to ask God in prayer for it.

To know that the size of your enemy determines the size of your reward is great wisdom. Your friends create comfort, but your enemies create rewards. Without a Goliath, David would not have been ushered to the fame.

David would have remained a shepherd forever. The size of your enemy determines how God sees you; He won't let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. Your enemy initiates your blessing. Judgement night brought a lot of trophies to many people at the National Sports Stadium.

I saw that wisdom was displayed at a higher level by the man of God Prophet Makandiwa. The Prophet of God is saying to all Zimbabweans stay in the word of God and in His presence long enough and you shall have wisdom. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of all wisdom.
