Nigeria: 'Poverty Alleviation Is CPC's Focus in Nasarawa'

Lafia — The focus of the Alhaji Tanko Al'Makura-led administration in Nasarawa State is to unburden the state from the loads of poverty and underdevelopment that has bedeviled the state since its creation.

Member of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Alhaji Ibrahim Bala Moskolo who made the statement in a chat with newsmen in Lafia, said the state govenor has already set up machinery for the total transformation of the state to facilitate the drive towards developing the state.

"The new reality is that civil servnats must sit up, contractors must deliver, law makers must be up and doing, while all hands must be on deck for the total transformation of the state," he said.

The lawmaker said the new thinking is already yielding fruits while members of the state's House of Assembly have resolved to support the governor achieve his goal of transforming the state.
