Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has given approval to 57 phone manufacturers to sell their products in the country as the telecoms regulator takes tougher stance against dumping of phones in the country's markets.
Last month, NCC shut down local offices of some foreign handset makers over breach of regulatory requirement that they obtain type-approvals before their products are shipped into the Nigerian market.
