Nigeria: Remains of IG's Mother Buried in Gusau

Sokoto — The remains of Hajiya Aisha Ba'u Saidu, mother of Inspector General of Police Mohammed Dahiru Abubakar, were yesterday laid to rest in Gusau, Zamfara State in accordance with Islamic rites.

Aisha died on Wednesday at the age of 80 at a hospital in Egypt of brain cancer, according to Alhaji Mustapha Isyaku, one of the nine children she left behind. She was buried at the Gangaren Kwata cemetery at about 10. 35am after a short prayer by the chief imam of Gusau central mosque, Alhaji Liman Dan-Alhaji Sambo.
