Zambia: Kabwe Typhoid Cases Rise to 174

TYPHOID cases in the Kabwe have risen from 159 to 174 as measures to contain the epidemic are being put in place.

Kabwe District Commissioner Patrick Chishala said the district had recorded 15 new cases.

Lukanga Water and Sewerage Company has distributed five water tanks to Ngungu and more would be distributed to Chimanimani and Bwacha townships.

Lukanga, Kabwe area manager Adamson Sakala said the company had ordered more tanks to be distributed to the affected areas.

Mr Sakala explained that the company would ensure that the residents received adequate and safe water.
