Nigeria: Akingbola - FG Files Appeal

The Federal Government has filed an appeal against the decision of the Federal High Court in Lagos which on April 2, freed the former Group Managing Director of Intercontinental Bank Plc, Mr. Erastus Akingbola, from alleged fraud.

In the appeal filed Thursday, the Federal Government accused the Judge of the Federal High Court, Lagos, Justice Charles Efanga Archibong, of bias, recklessness in arriving at a decision to discharge Akingbola from the criminal charges.
