NAMIBIA is one of three African countries, together with Mauritius and South Africa, shortlisted to host, for the first time on African soil, the coveted Adventure Travel World Summit.
Although the bid by Namibia to host this all-important summit is not a done deal yet, and that the successful bidder shall only be known in the summer, Namibia, and especially the Namibian tourism industry, and of course its foremost guardian and promoter of the tourism sector in this regard, the Ministry of Environment and Tourism, certainly deserves if only a pat on the back, because this does not come in a vacuum but in the context of massive work that the Ministry has been doing since independence, and by extension the broader tourism sector.
