Egypt: Fate of Disqualified Candidates Decided Today

Egypt's Presidential Elections Committee is expected to announce its decision on the 10 disqualified candidates today, after receiving complaints from each one of them.

The committee had disqualified 10 candidates from the presidential race on Saturday, for failing to meet the requirements stated in Egypt's elections law, leaving them with 48 hours to file complaints.

The disqualified candidates are: Hazem Salah Abu Ismail, Ayman Nour, Mortada Mansour, Ahmed Saeedi, Khairat Al-Shater, Omar Suleiman, Mamdouh Qutb, Hossam Khairat, Ashraf Barouma and Ibrahim Al-Gharib.
