Gambia: Local Philanthropist Donates to Bureng LBS

Dodou Saidy Leigh, a Gambian based in Italy recently donated D109, 500 to Bureng Lower Basic School in Central River Region (CRR). This was received by Saja AK Sanyang, the principal of the school, at a ceremony held at the school grounds.The money will be used to buy materials such as books and furniture, among others.

During an interview with the Daily Observer, Dodou Saidy Leigh underscored the importance of education in the rural settlement, noting that every Gambian has a right to do good for his or her country.He added that the donation would nothave been successful without the help of Rv. Fr. Emil Sambou and Emil Kujabi from the Catholic Education Secretariat in Kanifing.
