Gambia: Ex-IGP Concludes Testimony in Sedition Trial

The former Inspector General of Police, Ensa Badjie yesterday, Tuesday 17th April 2012 concluded his evidence-in-chief in the criminal case involving the state against Mam Matarr Secka, Kuluteh Manneh and himself before the Special Criminal Court in Banjul, presided over by Justice Emmanuel Nkea.

It would be recalled that the accused persons are charged with multiple offences ranging from conspiracy to do an act with a seditious intention, sedition, abuse of office, obtaining money by false pretence, official corruption, and economic crimes, contrary to the Laws of The Gambia.
