East Africa: Musyoka Urges Region to Mediate Between Juba and Khartoum

VICE President Kalonzo Musyoka yesterday called on the East African Community states to mediate between the governments of Sudan and Southern Sudan to ensure the current conflict does not degenerate to a full-blown war.

The VP, who was speaking in Nairobi, said East Africa Community, through the he Intergovernmental Authority on Development played a critical role in brokering the Comprehensive Peace Agreement that ended two decades of war between the two regions.
