Nigeria: Drug Reactions Not Properly Detected - NAFDAC DG

Most Nigerians have adverse drug reactions but which are not reported or detected, the Director General, National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), Dr Paul Orhii, has said.

Orhii stated this yesterday during the Pharmacovigilance Stakeholders' Forum in Abuja. He said that the National Pharmacovigilance Centre has over 10,000 Adverse Drug Reaction (ADR) reports since its inception, adding that the reports translated to about eight reports per million people annually.
