Windhoek — The ambitious Kalimbeza national rice project on the banks of the Zambezi River in the Caprivi Region forecast a bumper crop harvest for three of its rice varieties that were planted last year, before seasonal floods swamped the farm.
Last year, the project lost about four hectares of rice to floods in the Caprivi Region, amounting to losses of about N$80 000.
