Washington DC — United States has said though Africa's recent economic growth was impressive, the region still accounts for less than two per cent of global trade.
Addressing the US House of Representatives Foreign Affairs Committee, Subcommittee on African Affairs on the topic "Increasing American Jobs Through Greater Exports to Africa Act", Assistant Secretary of State Bureau of African Affairs, Mr. Johnnie Carson, also noted that US trade to and from Africa had grown significantly in the last ten years.
