Nigeria: Niger Records First Polio Case in Three Years

Minna — Niger State has recorded a setback in its fight against the spread of polio virus following resurgence of the disease in Unguwan Biri of Bangi ward in Mariga Local Government Area of the state.

The discovery of a child affected with the disease in the area confirmed the resurgence of polio in the state and this is coming only three year after Niger was declared a polio free state.
