PRESIDENT Michael Sata has appointed Charles Mpundu as director general of the National Pensions Scheme Authority (NAPSA) and Elizabeth Lungu-Nkumbula as commissioner for the Workers' Compensation Fund Control Board (WCFCB).
Information, Broadcasting and Labour Permanent Secretary Amos Malupenga announced the appointments, which are with immediate effect, during a media briefing held at his office yesterday.
Mr Mpundu, who holds a degree in Actuarial Science and a Masters Degree in Business Administration, takes over from Mr Stanley Phiri.
Dr Nkumbula holds a PhD in Business Administration with a major in finance and takes over from Peter Mbewe.
Mr Mpundu has more than 20 years of experience in financial services in both the private and public sector and has been managing director for Integral Initiatives Company Limited up to the date of his new appointment.
He served as commissioner and chief executive officer for WCFCB and director- investment at NAPSA.
Dr Nkumbula has more than 20 years experience in the building society industry during which she has acquired profound knowledge in strategic and innovative management in financial services with skills in fund mobilisation and treasury management.
