Namibia: Meatco Says Producer Prices Still Under Pressure

Windhoek — The Meat Corporation of Namibia (Meatco) says producer prices remain under pressure, and the downward trend is expected to continue until the end of June.

"Apart from the annual, cyclical downwards pressure on producer prices due to the greater supply of cattle during the peak season, other economic factors are also contributing to the additional downwards pressure on producer prices," said Meatco Producer Communications Officer, Mario Poolman, in a monthly newsletter issued on Monday.
