A senior lawyer has said the vetting of judges is flawed. Senior counsel John Khaminwa yesterday said judges are being used as "sacrificial lambs" for the past mistakes of presidents Moi and Kenyatta.
"People were assaulted, corruption was rife in the country and many people were assassinated while others disappeared. We can't blame this on judges by sacking them in the public," he said. "We risk having a weak and skewed judiciary if the trend is allowed to continue." He said an alternative process should be found to save face of the judiciary.
