The Movement for Democratic Change (MDC-T), desperate to weed out the bad apples in its midst, has dispatched a six-member investigative committee led by Chitungwiza legislator, Fidelis Mhashu to probe local authorities under its dominion.
Among the councils that have already come under the microscope are Gweru, Kwekwe and Zvishavane. The three councils have been blighted by serious allegations of corruption and mismanagement.
