Egypt: Ambassador in UK 'Diplomat of Year for Mideast'

The Egyptian Ambassador in London Hatem Seif el-Nasr received the award of "Diplomat of the Year from the Middle East" presented by Diplomat magazine.

The British foreign affairs magazine presented 10 awards to some of the most influential overseas ambassadors and high commissioners based in London.

"The Egyptian diplomacy has proven its ability to safeguard the strategic interests of Egypt," Seif el-Nasr told MENA.

The title "Diplomat of the Year" is bestowed upon one ambassador, representing Europe, Middle East, Asia, Africa and Americas each.

There are also awards offered for the outstanding contribution to the Women in Diplomacy, the Deputy Chief of Mission of the Year and the Young Diplomat of the Year.
