Nigeria: Agric Ministry Queried Over Non-Usage of 400 Tractors

Abuja — The Auditor-General to the Federation Office weekend queried the Ministry of Agriculture over the non-usage of 400 tractors for a period of four years and ordered recovery of three missing tractors alleged to have grown wings from a storage facility in Owerri.

The AGF in a 2008 audit report had indicted the Ministry of Agriculture where it was alleged that the ministry refused to put to use 400 tractors purchased by the Federal Government for farming purposes.
