Rwanda: Gospel Artiste Optimistic Over Upcoming Album

Upcoming local gospel singer-songwriter, Alfred Kwizera, yesterday, travelled to Kampala to collaborate with Ugandan gospel stars Pastor Wilson Bugembe and Carol Budwick.

"I am going to do collabos with Ugandan gospel stars and I am optimistic my new album will be a great hit," said Kwizera.

"I know both of them. I've been lucky to share the stage with them on several occasions during the New Year's Eves in Uganda," he added.

"We haven't decided on the title of the song yet - but it will be produced at 3 in 1 studios."

The singer said that the joint production will be quite costly but vowed to ensure the project is completed

He is expected to return to the country on Saturday this week.

Kwizera gained fame through his debut single, 'He'll never Leave Me.'

Another Rwandan artiste who has traveled to Uganda is Adolphe Bagabo, best known by his stage name Kamichi.

The 2011 Salax Award Best Afrobeat artiste is recording his single, Akanigi, (little pearl), with producer Washington at Arkmenz studios.

Kamichi told The New Times that the song will be on his second album, Mudakumirwa, which was launched last December.
