Nigeria: Emir of Zazzau Urges Community Leaders On Peace

Kaduna — The Emir of Zazzau, Alhaji Shehu Idris, has urged community leaders in the state to ensure peace in their respective domains.

Speaking at the installation ceremony of Mallam Ismaila Bello Akogun as Wakilin Gago of Bassa-Nge community in Kaduna yesterday, the emir said without peace, no meaningful development could take place.

The emir, who was represented by district head of Doka in Kaduna, Alhaji Bala Tijjani Muhammed, called on all Nigerians to ensure that peace is sustained in every community, saying the incessant violent attacks in the country call for divine intervention through prayers.

While he advised Nigerians to be security conscious, he urged them to always report suspicious movements noticed around them to security agencies.

In his address, the newly installed Wakilin Gago of Bassa-Nge community in Kaduna, Mallam Ismaila B. Akogun, pledged to promote and maintain peace within his domain, the state and the country at large.
