Kenya: Support Voluntary Return of Somali Refugees - Kibaki

President Kibaki yesterday called on the international community to facilitate voluntary repatriation of Somali refugees to safer areas in their country that have been liberated from al Shabaab militants.

Kibaki said through the joint efforts of African Mission in Somalia, Kenya's Defence Forces and the Transitional Federal Government, safe areas have been created that could host Somali refugees in their country. He called on the United Nations High Commission for Refugees in collaboration with the international community to facilitate relocation of the refugees.
