Angola: Official Stresses Importance of Territory Planning Law

Huambo — The Law on Territory Planning is an important tool for the performance of the activities and excellent to fulfil the objectives set by the Government for the sector, said Thursday in central Huambo province, the vice minister of Urbanisation and Construction.

Manuel Clemente Júnior was speaking at the opening of the two-day 2nd upgrading workshop on Territory Planning.

After quoting the Law Nº 03/04, of January 25 (on territory planning), Law Nº. 09/04, of November 9 (on land) and Law Nº 20/10, dated 7 September, the official said that the tools are extremely important for the performance of the activities and proper to fulfil the objectives outlined by the Executive in the field of territory planning.

The vice minister urged all bodies involved in the process of territory planning to deepen knowledge about above laws, with a view to facilitating both their dissemination and implementation.

Manuel Clemente Júnior also expects that the training achieves the desired goals in order to allow greater clarity, knowledge and upgrading of the content and objectives of the organisation of competitions, territory planning and land management.

The event gathered vice governors for technical and infrastructures of the provinces of Huambo, Benguela, Bié and Kwanza Sul.

District administrators, provincial directors of urbanisation and construction also attended the event.
