Eldoret deputy mayor Jennifer Kosgei and the environmental chairman Eldoret Municipal Council Mahmud Kiplagat yesterday urged area residents to plant trees on their land and in designated places within the town.
Speaking when they inaugurated the national tree planting season in the town, they said the 10 per cent recommended forest cover can only be attained if all Kenyans plant trees to mark milestones such as birthdays, marriages and successes in their lives.
