Uíge — The Angolan musician Afonso André, also known as "Saclito", announced Friday in northern Uige province, he is considering to release his first CD titled "Zaya kutukidi", which means remembering the birthplace.
Speaking to ANGOP, the singer said that the album has 10 tracks, only lacking funding.
He added that the CD carries such songs as "Vota tu vota Zédú", "Longo", "Zaya kutukidi", "Batata", "Mpanguiame", "Mu Iso", "Moyame kiadi", "Kuvatadieto", "Tuazola Misasa mieto" and "Zaya".
Afonso André also said that the songs were sung in Portuguese and vernacular language, Kicongo.
Saclito said that to complete the recording that began in 2002 more support is required.
Afonso André was born in Quimunete, locality of Icoca, municipality of Quimbele, having already participated in various cultural activities.
