Egypt: 2400 Megawatt Added to Face Electricity Demands in Summer

Electricity and Energy Minister Hassan Younis said the electricity sector carried out projects with investments reaching more than LE 13 billion for meeting the increase demand on electricity by citizens during summer and to meet as well the needs of development projects.

The projects are part of a plan to reach 2400 megawatt capacity.

Younis said that capacities were added to Abu Qair Power Station to reach 1300 megawatt, 6th of October 600 megawatt and West Damietta of 500 megawatt.
