THE row over ownership a Sh1 billion property in Kilimani area took a new twist after a senior lawyer was summoned by the police over alleged attempt to change the directorship of a company at the centre of the dispute.
The lawyer- Zul Alibhai- presented himself to the CID headquarters on Monday after a complaint was filed against him by two directors of Ravasam Development Company. The police were initially reluctant to investigate the matter because the matter was still in court.
At the centre of the dispute is a property estimated to be worth Sh1 billion at Kilimani between Erick Agbeko, a Ghanaian, and Phillip Nyambok and their business partners Farouk Ravate and Justin Samourgompoulle, both of Reunion Islands.
In a ruling delivered on February 28, Justice John Mutava termed the move by the lawyer- to effect changes of the directors and shareholding of the company -as contemptuous and an issue that raises ethical questions.
