Senegalese president , Macky Sall,has sent a letter of appreciation to the Gambian leader, His Excellency, Sheikh Professor Alhaji Dr Yahya Jammeh, thanking him for the warm reception and generous hospitality accorded him and delegation during his recent friendly and working visit to the sister Republic of The Gambia.

The letter reads:

After the friendly and working visit to the sister Republic of The Gambia, I would like to thank you heartily for the warm reception and generous hospitality accorded me and my delegation. I would like also to express my total satisfaction about the quality and enabling environment of our discussions.

With respect to all the issues raised, I want to restate my fullest confidence. I left Banjul fully comforted by our common will to work together for the restoration of a new order in the Senegambia region, thus making it a safe he'aven, stability and prosperity.

The shared history and destiny of the people of Senegambia challenges us to win the race. I reiterate my full commitment to work with you in this direction. May Allah assist us. Please accept, Mr. President and Dear Brother, the assurances of my highest fraternal consideration.
