Joseph Manyire, aka Joe Black, is a producer of a music show, Katogo, on Record Television.
He spoke to Sharon Atwine about his style.
What do you love most about your job?
I love the fact that I get to meet and make friends with a lot of people who actually matter. This sometimes opens countless opportunities and gives me easy access to prominent people and places.
Are you a suits or jeans guy?
Even though I like the idea of wearing a suit, especially on a Monday to work, jeans are always my thing.
What is your favourite scent?
I like Gillette (deodorant) and either HUGO BOSS or a collection of Victoria's Secret Men's perfumes, but I am not much of a perfume person. I always choke from perfume; it doesn't matter if it's strong or not.
How often do you visit the salon?
I visit the salon at least every fortnight, although sometimes my work keeps me so busy that I stretch it to three weeks.
Why did you choose dreads over the mundane haircuts?
I chose to wear dreadlocks because I thought I would look good and it was easy since I naturally have long and soft hair. Dreadlocks are also not demanding for a busy person. I can go a whole month without even minding my hair.
What person would you consider well-groomed?
A well-groomed person is one who never forgets where they came from no-matter how successful they become. One that will respect even those under him/her as far as social class is concerned.
In case you died today, how would you love to be remembered?
As that simple guy who was always humble, caring and kind. These are the things that anybody can achieve with or without money; being mean to other people is not worth anything.
How often do you change your closet?
I never really have an overhaul of my wardrobe/closet. I discard a few and add some new clothes once in a while. Well, maybe every week when I can or a month at most.
