Nigeria: NECO Submits Common Entrance Results Tomorrow

Results of the National Common Entrance Examination conducted by National Examination Council (NECO) on Saturday would be ready tomorrow.

NECO officer-in-charge of the FCT Mustapha Abdul gave Nigerians this assurance after inspecting the examination exercise in some schools in Abuja on Saturday.

Abdul however said it was not NECO's responsibility to release the results as it is only required to handover to the Federal Ministry of Education after marking.

He said, "Today is Saturday, I can assure you that by Tuesday, the result will be with the Minister of Education.

"You know, by law, NECO will conduct the examination and release the results to the Minister of Education, not to the public.

"NECO will do its bit and I can assure you by Tuesday certainly the results will be with the minister."

He said about 5,790 pupils sat for the 2012 edition of examination and that the council had addressed most of the logistics problems experienced last year.
