Angola: Luanda Governor Announces New Markets

Luanda — The Luanda province governor, Bento Joaquim Francisco Bento, Monday here announced the construction of 18 new municipal markets plus 80 similar local outlets in the capital.

Bento Bento was speaking to journalists during the inauguration of the Entrepreneur Counter (BUE) in Luanda's high density suburb of Cazanga.

He added that another 15 seafood markets will be built in various parts of the province.

According to the official, various sports facilities will also be built in the capital.

The official recalled that the municipalities have a relevant role to play in assisting in the implementation of social equipment and small businesses.

On the occasion, Bento Bento announced two more BUEs that will help prospective entrepreneurs with their projects.

He also stated that those wishing to get a bank credit to start a business must apply for a State package for the purpose.
