South Africa: Local Karate Girl Off to Japan

Yes, Yes!! Another Bonteheuwel local cracks the international scene. Robyn Lakey, a grade 6 learner at Bergsig Primary School is on her way to Japan. She is graduating with a junior black belt in her karate discipline.

"Karate have been an integral part of my young life, it has taught me discipline, respect and tolerance, and I believe this overseas trip will help me to improve as a person and hopefully I can be role model for many learners at the school when I return," says an worried Robyn.
