Boko Haram is a product of several dysfunctional families leading to break down of law and order in the society, National Vice President of the Association of General and Private Medical Practitioners of Nigeria (AGPMPN), Dr Frank Odafen, has said.
He stated this yesterday during a briefing to commemorate the association's World Family Doctor's Day in Abuja. Odafen said the government has to put in place deliberate policies that view the family as a integral agent of development.
Earlier, Dr Anga Peter, a consultant family physician with the National Hospital, said the World Health Organisation set aside May 19 to be observed as "World Family Doctor's Day."
