Angola: National Department, Association Discuss Publicity

Luanda — The National Department of Public of the Social Communication Ministry Saturday in Luanda discussed with the members of the Angolan Association of Publicity and Marketing the state of the sector and its implications for the Angolan economy.

According to the sector's director, Luandino de Carvalho, who released the information to Angop, the meeting was intended to learn of the constraints facing publicity and marketing firms, their needs in view of the Social Communication Ministry's actions in favour of the sector.

"The meeting served to learn of the concerns and anxiety of the firms of the sector, in view of their participation in the development of the country, mainly regarding their action in the national economy," he stressed.

Other matters discussed at the meeting have to do with the content of the publicity materials, the source also said.

He stated that the Soicial Communication has been expressed concern about the content of the publicity materials that hurts the good moral and custom values.

According to him, the Social Communication minister is concerned about contents that have nothing to do with the Angolan culture.
