Gambia: Alleged Thief Pleads Not Guilty

One Ebrima Mbenga was on Tuesday arraigned before Principal Magistrate Foster of the Bundung Magistrates' Court, charged with theft, contrary to the Laws of The Gambia.

The particulars of the offence stated that on or about the 30 April, 2012, at Abuko in the Kanifing Municipality, the accused unlawfully entered the house of one Ndey Sinyang and stole a DVD?valued at D1500, and two mobile phones marked Nokia, valued at D2000, being the properties of the said Ndey Sinyang, thereby committed an offence.
