THE International Commission of Jurists (ICJ) has said it is hopeful that the tribunal set to investigate the alleged professional misconduct on the three judges will follow the due process for purposes of fairness without undermining the independence of the judiciary.
ICJ Africa Regional Programme Director Arnold Tsunga said the suspension of the judges had been handled in a manner that had created potential for serious strain in the judiciary, legal profession and the executive which had placed the judicial institution into public scrutiny and disrepute.
