Rwanda: Minicom Probes Bralirwa

The Ministry of Commerce is probing beer brewers and soft drinks bottlers Bralirwa in suspected cases of anti-competitive behavior.

The Rwanda Focus has seen a letter signed by Minicom Permanent Secretary Emmanuel Hategeka authorizing an investigation by private consultants into anti-competitive behavior by a few firms in Kigali on which list Bralirwa features prominently. The Permanent Secretary was not available to offer his comments on the case to The Rwanda Focus.
