Sierra Leone: SLPP's Aziz Carew Convicted - Le25 Million or Five Years Jail

Presiding judge of the Freetown High Court No.2 Justice Nicolas Browne Marke yesterday sentenced the Sierra Leone People's Party SLPP constituency 104 chairman, Abdul Aziz Carew to five years imprisonment or pay a fine of Le 25 million and Abdul Quee to pay Le10 million or five years imprisonment for stabbing All Peoples Congress APC stalwarts Lansana Fadika and Ibrahim Lewally on January 14 during a local council bye-election in ward 369, Fourah Bay area.

The judge ordered that the fines should not be paid by instalment.
