Super Falcons' Head Coach, Kadiri Ikhana has named a 21-woman squad for the two African Women's Championship (AWC) qualifying games against Zimbabwe and the two-legged friendly tie against South Africa.
Three-time African Female Footballer of the Year, Perpetua Nkwocha, joins Rita Chikwelu and Onome Ebi as the three foreign-based players included in the squad. Chidimma Okoro, Joy Jegede, Regina McFancy, Abosede Olukayode and Shola Oyewusi have been included in the national squad for the first time.
Ikhana explained at the press conference in Abuja that the three overseas players will return to their clubs after the AWC qualifier with Zimbabwe, leaving 18 players to proceed to South Africa for the friendly game with Banyana Banyana on June 3.
