West Africa: Ecowas Negotiator Briefs President Ouattara On the Situation in Mali

A report in Fraternite Matin (p. 5) says that the Chairman of the ECOWAS Commission, Kadre Ouedraogo, yesterday briefed President Ouattara on the situation in Mali. According to the paper, the ECOWAS negotiator briefed the president following a meeting he had with Mali's key stakeholders. "We have assurances that the ECOWAS-inspired transition deal will be accepted and respected by all the stakeholders," the paper quotes Ouedraogo as saying.
