Nigeria: KDHA Probes Zaria Water Project

The Kaduna State House of Assembly yesterday set up a nine-member ad hoc committee to probe the execution of Zaria regional water project.

This followed a motion moved by Alhaji Mustapha Bawa (CPC-Zaria City) and 12 others urging the assembly to investigate the slow pace of the job.

Bawa told the house that the delay on the execution of the project was causing untold hardship and diseases to residents in the area.

He reminded the assembly that it was part of its mandate to address the problems of the people, especially water supply. The Speaker, Alhaji Mu'azu Gangaran, then announced the composition of the panel headed by the Deputy Speaker, Dr Mato Dogara.
