South Sudan: Juba-Nimule Highway Almost Ready for Handover to Government - Official

Juba — Deputy Director for highways in the Ministry of Roads and Bridges yesterday in an interview with The Citizen said that some of the sections of the Juba-Nimule had been inspected and handed to them by USAID Sudan Mission program engineer George Wagwa.

Engineer John Kenyi Sasa stated that the inspected and handed-over sections include fifty five kilometers from Nimule to Pageri which was constructed by ANT Construction Company and the one hundred and twenty five kilometers from Pageri to Lokiliri constructed by GULSAN Construction Company. He added that the remaining section is between Lokiliri to Juba Bridge which is under construction by ANT Construction Company.John said that according to USAID Program engineer the remaining section will be completed in the mid July 2012 and thereafter a handing-over ceremony will be planned which may take place in late August or early September.
