Nigeria: 'Naseni, NBTE to Save on Foreign Exchange'

The Execute Secretary of the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), Dr Mas'udu Adamu kazaure, said the board's proposed partnership with National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI), would save Nigeria billions of foreign exchange expended on importation of science equipment for tertiary institutions.

Kazaure, who disclosed this when the acting Director General of NASENI, Mohammed Sani Haruna visited him in his office in Kaduna, said the two agencies have agreed to enter into partnership that would enable them produce and manufacture laboratory kits and equipment to be used in carrying out research and development in tertiary institutions.

A statement from NASENI yesterday said the duo have agreed to work out the modalities that would form the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the partnership.
