Nigeria/South Africa: Obuh Puts Flying Eagles on Trial in South Africa

Flying Eagles' coach, John Obuh will lead out his team against Ghana this evening in South Africa where they compete for honors in the Cape Town international challenge.

It is the first test for the team put together by Obuh who was recently recalled by the Nigeria Football Federation to handle the Under-20 squad, which he took to the quarter-final of the 2011 FIFA Under-20 World Cup in Colombia. "The tournament offers an excellent opportunity to try out the players we have called to camp.

"There is really nothing at stake so I will sit back and see the what each player has to offer," said the coach

World champions Brazil, Argentina, Japan, Ghana, hosts South Africa, Cameroon and Kenya, who replaced Egypt will feature in the tournament, which will be used by teams to prepare for continental qualifiers as well as the 2013 FIFA U20 World Cup to be staged in Turkey.
